Lifelight provides blood pressure checking to enable preventative health care with Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System

Southampton, UK – Lifelight, the ground-breaking software platform that measures vital signs in under 40 seconds using just a standard smartphone or tablet, is supporting the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System (ICS) with their Digital Exemplar project aimed at transforming blood pressure measurement and enabling preventative health care across the region.

In the initiative, Lifelight has been deployed into community and care home settings to support staff in rapidly assessing patients’ vital signs without the need for cuffs, wires, or physical contact. This supports early detection of issues such as hypertension, reduces clinical risk, and saves significant clinical time.

The pilot is part of a broader effort by the ICS to identify and adopt transformative technologies that improve patient outcomes while reducing system pressures and workforce burden.

Initial results have shown promising uptake, with frontline staff reporting that Lifelight is easy to use and enables faster, more frequent checks, particularly in settings like care homes where traditional blood pressure cuffs are less practical.
